Grease Monkey™ Crete-Ease is a powerful, acid-based cleaner formulated to safely and effectively remove hardened concrete mortar, lime scale, efflorescence, rust deposits, and other mineral build-up from a variety of surfaces. Whether you’re preparing a new pour or restoring existing concrete, tile, brick, stone, or masonry, Crete-Ease cuts through tough residues with minimal scrubbing—leaving surfaces clean and ready for sealing, painting, or ongoing maintenance.
Key Features
-
Fast-Acting Acid Formula
Contains 10–13% glycolic acid, which penetrates and dissolves mineral deposits quickly without the need for harsh mechanical abrasion. -
Versatile Use
Safe for use on concrete, ceramic tile, pavers, brick, block, natural stone (test first on sensitive surfaces), grout, metal tools, and equipment. -
Easy Application
Available in a liquid concentrate for use with standard low-pressure sprayers or foamers. No special equipment required. -
Economical & Concentrated
A little goes a long way—dilutable for light cleaning, full-strength for heavy build-up. Ideal for both professionals and DIYers. -
Biodegradable, Non-Fuming
Glycolic acid is readily biodegradable; Crete-Ease generates minimal vapors compared to stronger hydrochloric or muriatic acids.
Benefits
-
Restores Original Appearance
Eliminates unsightly white residue, stains, and discoloration, bringing back the natural color and texture of masonry surfaces. -
Prepares for Next Steps
Ensures proper adhesion for sealers, paints, coatings, and overlays by removing contaminants that inhibit bonding. -
Protects Substrate Integrity
Low-pH formulation minimizes edge etching or surface damage compared to stronger mineral acids when used as directed. -
Time & Labor Savings
Reduces manual scrubbing and wire-brushing—spray on, rinse off, and repeat only if necessary.
Typical Applications
-
New Construction: Clean off mortar smears, grout haze, and efflorescence from poured concrete, blocks, pavers, or tile installations.
-
Restoration & Maintenance: Remove lime scale, rust, and mineral deposits from driveways, sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and equipment.
-
Industrial Equipment: Strip hardened cement slurry from mixers, trucks, molds, and tools.
Directions for Use
-
Shake Well before opening.
-
Apply full-strength (undiluted) directly to the target area using a low-pressure sprayer or foamer.
-
Allow product to dwell 5–15 minutes, keeping the surface wet.
-
Agitate lightly with a brush for stubborn spots, if needed.
-
