Grease Monkey™ AP1 in this 55-gallon drum is engineered for large-scale metal finishing and surface preparation operations. This industrial-grade iron phosphate formula combines effective cleaning with a chemical conversion coating in one efficient step. AP1 enhances corrosion resistance and provides a phosphate base layer that improves paint and powder coat adhesion across ferrous metals, aluminum, zinc, and stainless steel.

How to Use

• Surface Prep: Remove excess oil, grease, and particulate matter with a degreaser prior to application.
• Application: Apply AP1 via chemical-safe spray wand, pump-fed system, automated wash tunnel, or dip tank. Ensure complete surface coverage.
• Dwell Time: Allow 30–60 seconds of soak time to enable the phosphate reaction and cleaning process.
• Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove residue and unreacted solution.
• Drying: Use forced air or oven drying. Do not drip-dry to prevent surface spotting or flash corrosion.

Mixing Instructions

• Heated Systems: Mix 1 part AP1 with 20 parts water at approximately 130°F.
• Room Temperature Use: Mix 1 part AP1 with 10 parts water when heat is not available.
