Grease Monkey™ AP1 in a 5-gallon pail is the go-to solution for shops, production lines, and contractors performing high-volume surface prep. This powerful iron phosphate formula cleans and coats in one step, providing a reliable conversion layer that enhances paint adhesion and corrosion resistance on ferrous, aluminum, zinc, and stainless steel surfaces.

How to Use

• Surface Prep: Remove heavy oils, grease, or dirt using a degreaser before applying AP1.
• Application: Apply with a chemical-safe wand sprayer, pump sprayer, or hand bottle. Ensure full surface coverage.
• Dwell Time: Allow 30–60 seconds for the solution to react and convert the metal surface.
• Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove residue and prevent spotting.
• Drying: Use compressed air or blow-off guns to remove moisture, followed by oven drying. Do not drip-dry.

Mixing Instructions

• Heated Use: Mix 1 part AP1 with 20 parts water (130°F recommended).
• Room Temp Use: Mix 1 part AP1 with 10 parts water.
