Grease Monkey™ AP1 Iron Phosphate Cleaner & Conversion Coating (1 Gal)

Grease Monkey™ AP1 is a premium liquid iron phosphate solution formulated for surface preparation on ferrous, aluminum, zinc, and stainless alloys. It effectively cleans and coats in a single step, enhancing corrosion resistance and providing a conversion layer that improves adhesion for subsequent painting or powder coating processes.

How to Use

• Surface Prep: Remove any heavy oil, dirt, or carbon buildup prior to application using a degreaser or alkaline cleaner.
• Application: Apply AP1 using a chemical-safe wand sprayer, pump sprayer, or squirt bottle. Ensure complete coverage of the surface.
• Dwell Time: Allow 30–60 seconds of contact time to ensure proper chemical reaction.
• Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with clean water immediately after application.
• Drying: Blow off any remaining moisture, then dry using a preheated oven. Do not drip-dry.

Mixing Instructions

• Heated Application: Mix 1 part AP1 with 20 parts water (heated to ~130°F for optimal results).
• Room Temperature Application: Mix 1 part AP1 with 10 parts water.
